Nice food at low prices even though limited choice and one starter out of 3 items was already finished!

Home style Indian cooking keeps the customers returning to this friendly, family-run restaurant. Launched in early 2014, Veda is a contemporary restaurant that offers a wide range of popular Indian dishes as well as pizza and fish ‘n’ chips.
From crisp pakora to juicy butter chicken masalas, Veda has lots of choice on its menus. The staff recommend the handhi gosht – a Hyderabadi style lamb curry. For those who like their dinner to pack a punch, dishes like the angara, available with lamb or chicken, will hit the spot.
Naturally, there is also a full selection of tandoori dishes as well as traditional dopiazas, bhoonas, kormas and biryanis. Vegetarians are well catered for with delicious options like the paneer jalfrezi – fried cottage cheese and capsicums cooked in a creamy, tangy sauce. Seafood lovers may wish to try the spiced squid or the spicy masala haddock.
Veda is on Macneish Way in East Kilbride. Located next to the Morrisons in Stewartfield, the restaurant has lots of on-street parking. The nearest train link is the East Kilbride station on Torrance Road. Local attractions include the Museum of Rural Life and the James Hamilton Heritage Park.
