The restaurant was really busy but service was excellent. Three tapas each, from the main menu, & a large glass of wine each. Food was really tasty & beautifully presented.

Tinto Tapas– The Village, East Kilbride
One of four Tinto Tapas Bars, this branch is on Hunter Street in The Village in East Kilbride. It is a cosy, welcoming spot for a cup of coffee and churros or a tapas feast with friends. Many rate the Tinto Tapas Bars as among the most authentic Spanish restaurants in the Glasgow area. They certainly use proper Spanish ingredients such as butifarra Catalonian sausage and salt cod. The drinks menu of Spanish sherries, wines, brandies and beers also rings true.
The a la carte menu at Tinto Tapas Bar has all the well-known tapas such as Spanish omelette, prawns in chilli and garlic plus chicken croquettes. Less familiar options include the oven-baked spiced rabbit; braised lamb shoulder cooked with dates and mojama – air-cured tuna loin served with an orange and rocket salad. A good choice of paellas for two is also available.
Dessert lovers may want to finish with an almond tart, chocolate fondue or crema Catalana. There is also an enticing selection of coffees and hot chocolates, many laced with brandy.
The East Kilbride Tinto Tapas Bar is on Hunter Street in The Village. The nearest train station is East Kilbride. The M74 and M77 provide fast car access to and from Glasgow. There are number of car parks in the area including one at Glebe Street and another at the train station. Local attractions include Kirktonholme Recreation Area and The Show Park.
