Modern Scottish dining in Jordanhill

The Prancing Stag is a family-owned restaurant offering up a menu of Scottish food with an international inspiration. Inside, the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. The menu is complemented by a carefully selected wine list.

Fresh, seasonal cuisine

Many of the ingredients at The Prancing Stag are locally sourced while others are international classics. All dishes are attractively presented on the plate.

Typical starters include the baked Crottin goat’s cheese; pan-seared hand-dived scallops and Thai spiced lentil & vegetable soup. For a touch of decadence, opt for the twice-baked smoked salmon & Emmental soufflé with Parmesan royale.

Mains feature the marinated and pan-roasted venison haunch; 12-hour braised feather blade of beef, and a casserole of seafood in a light curry, coconut & lime broth. Veggies can try the crispy fried truffle gnocchi with wild mushrooms.

The sharing plate of chocolate — with fondant, ice cream parfait, sponge and chocolate soil — is a dessert highlight.
