    We can’t wait to return!

We chose to visit Francos prior to attending the GlasGlow event at the botanic gardens, and were not disappointed. The beer on offer was lovely, though only 2 (Apache and Tennants) are provided via the 5pm deal, we tried some out with the deal too. However, the main event was the pizza - which didn’t disappoint. We each had a different pizza, and ordered a side of normal fries, and a side of sweet potato fries. All food was excellent - though if you’re ordering the Cheesus Christ pizza be prepared to take some home! Though we didn't bring our dogs (as we were attending an event) it is a dog friendly pub, offering a dog menu as well as plenty of space for your dogs to relax. All in all, a lovely experience - we will certainly be back! With and without the dogs in tow!

Lively pub dining in the West End

Formerly Kelbourne Saint and now named after Trainspotting’s famous anti-hero, Francos offers hearty and imaginative fare on Queen Margaret Drive. A former church hall, it is also the location of the infamous Trainspotting scene where Begbie threw a pint glass into the crowd. These days, it is very much a family-friendly affair with a large beer garden that includes a kids’ play area, deck chairs and heated huts. The regular two-for-one pizza deals should also appeal to the student crowd.

Playful pizzas, buns and brunch

Francos serves up a creative take on bar food classics such as pizzas, burgers and hot dogs. While menus can change, expect pizza choices such as the Smoke & Shroom (smoked chicken, wild thyme and mushroom), Mother of Dragons (roasted red peppers, pickled red chilli and red onion) and Stranger Things (fennel sausage, jalapenos and pineapple).

Burger options might feature the Dirty Bird (tempura smoked chicken with signature sauce), the veggie-friendly The Saint (falafel burger with oven-dried tomatoes and mozzarella), and the intriguing Pizza Crunch (beef burger with marinara sauce, pepperoni and cheese).

All-day brunch is also served and includes a Mexican-style fry-up wrapped in a calzone and mac ‘n’ cheese on chunky toast.

The menu also has a kid-friendly section.

West End transport links and attractions

Francos is on Queen Margaret Drive, with street parking in the surrounding area. Hillhead underground is a short walk away, plus the Botanic Gardens and Firhill Stadium are both within easy reach.
