Located in Battlefield in the South Side, The Ball Room aims to be the “hippest pool room in Glasgow.” Pool tables, snooker tables, darts and ping pong can be found in the main sports room, while pub grub is served in the bar next door.
The Ball Room welcomes groups of friends and families (children are welcome until 9pm) to test their sporting skills, grab a drink and bite to eat, watch sport on their huge 10ft HD screens, and put some music on the jukebox.
The Ball Room serves a huge range of bar food dishes, including burgers, pizzas, nachos, paninis and sharing baskets.
The burger options include the bacon cheeseburger, a grilled cheeseburger served in a sesame seed bun topped with melted cheddar cheese and sliced unsmoked bacon, along with the sweet chilli chicken burger, which is a breaded chicken breast topped with melted mozzarella cheese and sweet chilli sauce served in a sesame seed bun. All burgers are served with steak cut chips.
The Ball Room’s pizzas are freshly made, using their own hand made dough, and offer a variety of topping options like The Supreme, which has chicken, mushroom, pepperoni and diced mixed peppers, and The Ultimate, which is packed with meatballs, pepperoni, ham, onion, mushroom and mixed peppers.
There’s also several variations of nachos packed with toppings, and paninis with fillings like pepperoni and mozzarella, and ham, onion and cheddar.
Sharing baskets loaded with morish snacks like sweet chilli cheesy chips and beer battered onion rings round off the comfort food menu.
Vegetarians are easily catered for with several meat free varieties on offer from each section of the menu.
The Ball Room is on Ledard Road in the Battlefield area of Glasgow’s Southside. The nearest train station is Mount Florida and there is restricted on-street parking by the restaurant. Local attractions include Queen’s Park and Hampden Park stadium.
