The pizza are made to order and the choice of pasta includes a rich carbonara; traditional lasagne and a classic spaghetti with seafood in a white wine sauce. Sticking with seafood, there is a fritto misto on offer along with herb-baked sea bass and a fried sole with tartar sauce.
Steak, veal and chicken options include chicken in a creamy mustard sauce and sirloin steak with a gorgonzola sauce. Tiramisu, apple pie and profiteroles all pop up among the desserts.
La Trattoria is unlicensed and customers are welcome to bring their own wine or beer for a small corkage charge.
La Trattoria is on St Andrew’s Road in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow’s south side. Shields Road is the nearest subway and Pollokshields East is the nearest train station. There is limited on-street parking and a large number of pay spaces at Shields Road subway. Nearby attractions include the Scotland Street School Museum.
