Promising to take you on a culinary journey through Greek and the Eastern Mediterranean region, Mezzidakia serves up a wide range of small plates, sides and drinks.
All served up in a rustic, warmly lit setting of exposed brick, upcycled wood and mosaic floors.
The menu is divided into kebabs, gyros, small plates, nibbles and ‘pides’ (Turkish Middle Eastern pizza).
Highlights of the small plates include grilled and marinated lamb chops; moussaka, and Shetland mussels cooked in the style of the Greek island of Lipsi, laced with an ouzo-flavoured sauce. Veggies can try dishes like the spinach, garlic & feta parcels or char-grilled halloumi and vegetable kebab.
Gyros include a choice of chicken skewers, lamb, donner or halloumi, while from the kebab selection you can choose from lamb, beef, chicken, doner and falafel.
Pides include the Iskender Kebabi piled with doner meat and topped with garlic cream and chillies , or a veggie topping of charred courgettes, tomatoes, walnuts & feta cheese.
Mezzidakia is based very centrally on St. Vincent Street, handy for both Central and Queen Street stations. You will also be near to various key venues, such as the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Theatre Royal and Cineworld. Pay parking is available close to the restaurant.
