About Pataka

Rennie Mackintosh-themed Indian in Newington

Almost certainly the only Indian restaurant in Edinburgh, perhaps Scotland, to have a Charles Rennie Mackintosh style interior, Pataka has long been a welcome feature on Causewayside. The menu travels beyond the most familiar tikkas, tandoori and dopiaza. House specialities include the mangsho roti – a hot and spicy lamb dish flavoured with, among others, garlic, ginger, chillies, bay leaves and coriander.
