Dunbar restaurant with sea views

Part of Bayswell Park Hotel in Dunbar, The View Restaurant enjoys a breath-taking cliff top location. Offering a panoramic vista of the Firth of Forth, it is a stunning spot for a romantic dinner or inspiring lunch. When the weather is warm, the large beer garden is understandably popular, especially as the sun sets and the skyline changes from brilliant blue to glorious shades of crimson.

Local sourcing, global flavours

The chefs at The View Restaurant believe in local sourcing and use only the freshest ingredients in their dishes. The flavours on show range from Scottish Cullen skink and haggis bon bons to beef and garlic stir fries and king prawns in a spicy pil pil sauce. As well as steaks, burgers and beef short ribs marinated in Irn Bru, there is a great selection of seafood including East Coast mussels, crab claw meat, king scallops and, of course, battered haddock. Veggie options include the aubergine, tomato and goat’s cheese lasagne and the vegetable risotto with garden peas and caramelised onion.

The View Restaurant is part of Bayswell Park Hotel & Spa in Bayswell Park, Dunbar. The East Lothian town is known for its surrounding coastline and the many nearby golf courses. The hotel has ample parking and the A1 provides easy access to and from Edinburgh. Dunbar train station is a twenty minute walk from The View Restaurant.
